We begin with information you provide in our Quick Evaluation Questionnaire. Then, we conduct structured phone interviews with the lead manager of the team(s), and possibly others on the team(s) or in IT.

With our combination of business management and technology product experience we make a quick 'reading' of your organizational situation: the work your teams do, their deliverables and processes, who they get information from and who they send files to.

We use a shared-screen (web conferencing) tool to show you examples and, if applicable, to see your current intranet tools. We assess the state of your teams' information systems and the level of your team members' computer skills.

In 4 hours we develop a high level assessment of your needs, select types of tools and practices that fit your situation, and recommend options that fit your resources, staff skills, and and business goals.

We deliver actionable guidance in 2 ways: 1) We identify specific open-source and commercial applications that best address your most pressing collaboration needs and fit within your budget. 2) We specify techniques and provide links to specific Guides & Best Practices materials, based on the state of current information-systems use in the organization and the skills of your staff.		We prioritize key actions to achieve increased tool effectiveness in 3 ways: 1) Identify underutilized capabilities that will make the most impact, and discuss how you can implement them, given the skills of your staff and availability of IT resources. 2) We provide process-oriented changes in your teams' work, to effectively utilize those capabilities. 3) We provide links to existing Guides & Best Practices materials for better matching your teams' tools use to your overall business goals.
